42, passed away on Tuesday December 29, 2015 at Boston Medical Center. Born in Brava, Cape Verde, a daughter of the late Manuel and Judite (Rodrigues) DePina.
Elisabete had worked in the American Embassy in Cape Verde before moving to America and then worked as a chef in several restaurants in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She also attended Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Brockton.
Besides her mother she is survived by two sons, Ivan Rodrigues Cabral and Jeremiah DePina; eight brothers, Belmiro DePina, Jaoquin Fernandes, Manuel Rodrigues, Valdemar Rodrigues, Helio Sanchez, Manuel Sanchez, George Dos Santos, Alberto Dos Santos; five sisters, Carmen Sanchez, Annabela Rodrigues DePina, Diolinda Fernandes, Pedrina Fernandes, Maria Anelia Andrade; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Ildo Fernandes, Antonio DePina, Joao DePina and Amalia Sanchez.
Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 in Mount Hope Community Baptist Church, 734 Hope St., Providence, at 10 am followed by Burial in North Burial Ground, Providence. Calling hours will be Thursday, January 7, 2016 in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, from 4 - 8 pm.
