86, passed away surrounded by his loving family on February 6, 2016. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Regan) Gaughan.
Martin was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and was devoted to VFW Post 1271, Central Falls. He was an umpire for Lincoln Little League and girls fast pitch softball, and coached Cumberland/Lincoln Babe Ruth leagues and the All Star team. Martin was also an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Notre Dame athletics.
He is survived by a daughter, Tracy Gaughan; two sons, Martin and Sean Gaughan; a brother, Herbert Gaughan; a sister, Shirley Farley; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Martin was the brother of the late Joseph, Thomas, James Gaughan, Grace Meunier and Katherine Roby.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 12th from 3 - 7 p.m. at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. A celebration of life for Mr. Gaughan will be held at Club Madeira 46 Madeira Avenue, Central Falls, R.I. 02863.
