92, passed on February 27th. He was the husband of the late Anita (Marcotte) Grudzien.
Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Sleczkowska) Grudzien.
Alex had been employed by the former Almacs grocery store for many years. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, a member of the American Legion and the Fierlit Korzen American Legion Post 79 and Lawrence E Redmond Chapter of the DAV.
Alex is survived by two daughters, Diana Huff and Linda Flint, and her husband Lawrence, a son, David J. Grudzien and his wife Terry, grandchildren, Travis Ryan Flint, Lisa Flint, Kami Allen and her husband Jared, and Kyle Alexander Grudzien, two great grandsons, Lincoln and Avery Allen; he was the brother of the late Ann Pratt, Edna Poulin, Helen Swanson, Maxie Grudzien.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:45 am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church, 391 High St., Central Falls at 10 am. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4 to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Salvation Army of Southern New England, 855 Asylum Avenue, Hartford, CT 06105.
