61 formerly of East Providence, died January 26th 2010 at the RI Hospital.
Born in Ribamondego, Portugal, a son of the late Joaquim and Feliciana (Amaral) Clemente.
He was the proprietor of the former Estrela do Mar restaurant for over 15 years and formerly worked at Texas Instruments. He was a past president of the Lusitana Club of Cumberland and a member of the East Providence Portuguese American Club and was an avid soccer fan and routinely brought singers from Lisbon to play (fado) at the Adega do Chico .
He is survived by a daughter, Ann Marie Normandin and her husband Brent of Cumberland, two granddaughters, Ava and Brooke Normandin. A brother, Valdir Clemente and his wife Dionor of Cumberland and a sister, Maria Piedade Clemente Morales and her husband Jose of Sao Paulo, Brasil and 2 nephews Ricardo Morales and Mark Clemente and 4 nieces Elizabete Resende, Christiane Morales, Ana Paula Morales and Nicolle Miller.
Calling hours will be held Saturday from 3 to 5pm from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private.
