74, passed away peacefully Christmas morning at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence with her children by her side; she had suffered from Parkinson’s disease for many years. Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Leo and Yvonne (Lacoste) Bernier, she lived in Central Falls for many years, and previously lived in Orrington and Sherman Mills, Maine.
Pauline was the loving mother of son Dennis Mayo of West Greenwich, daughters Diane Lieske of Richmond, Suzanne Brito and Donna LaBrie, both of Warwick, and Sharon Mayo of Central Falls with whom she resided; brothers Leonel Bernier of Florida, Gerry Bernier of Paxton, MA, and sister Rita Jarest also of Florida; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Ernest “Lefty” Bernier, Texas and Cecile “Susie” Tetreault, Lincoln, RI.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, Dec. 29th from 5-8 pm at the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Avenue, Lincoln, RI. Private burial will be at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket, RI. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Pauline to the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, 50 Maude St, Providence, RI 02908 or to the National Parkinson Foundation, Inc., Office of Development, 1501 NW 9th Avenue/Bob Hope Road, Bob Hope Road, Miami, Florida 33136-1494.
