34, passed away on March 11, 2016. Loving wife, mother and daughter. Born in Providence, RI and raised in Pawtucket. Attended Fallon Memorial School and Jenks Jr. High. She was a Girl Scout and active in many extra-curricular after school programs. Letitia had an infectious smile that would light up any room she entered. She was part of a teen group who co-wrote a play commissioned by Progress for a drug free America. The play focused on the similarities of Race and culture. The show was performed in numerous venues throughout RI. It was so well received and performed that they were invited to perform at Brown University Rite and Reason Theatre during commencement. She later moved to Ohio with her mom and sister. There she attended York Town School and The Medina School where she was on the drill team. Letitia was accepted to Fort Hayes, Ohio's highest rankings and performance high schools. She attended Fort Hayes and then returned to Rhode Island. She later joined the Job Corps where she received three certificates in Business Clerical, Certified Nursing Assistance, and Balance Consulting. She was attending Community College of Rhode Island from 2008 to current time. Letitia loved life children and planting flowers. Every spring she and her mother shared a favorite ritual of planting flowers with and for her children. Letitia leaves behind her husband Jose Barros her mother Pauline Smith, her two children Cheyenne Lave Smith and Elijha Jose Carlos Barros, as well as 5 aunts and 7 uncles and numerous cousins and relatives.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Mount Hope Community Baptist Church, 734 Hope St., Providence, at 10 am. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Calling hours will be held Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 5 - 8 pm in Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln.
