81, passed on March 20th surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Agnes A. (Holleran) Nesbitt. They have been married for 58 years.
He had been employed as a Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for many years. He served as a Marine Corp. Sergeant during the Korean War. He was an active member and past president of the Woodlawn neighborhood Association.
William is also survived by three sons, John A. (Sonia), James W. (Jackie) and Mark J. Nesbitt (Kelly), 2 daughters, Mary Ann Murray (Matthew) and Jennifer A. Murray (John), a sister, Ann M. Fernstrom and 13 grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Ruth A. Salisbury and grandfather of the late Jimmy Nesbitt #12.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, March 23rd at 8:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John the Baptist Church, 69 Quincy Ave, Pawtucket, RI 02860 at 10am. Graveside with military honors will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the St. John the Baptist Food Bank of which he was the former director.
