54, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016. Born in Brava, Cape Verde he grew up in Pawtucket. He was the beloved son of Manuel R. Gomes and Maria Barros-Gomes of Pawtucket.
He had been employed by Hope Global in Cumberland, RI for over 30 years. Jorge is survived by his wife Clementina sons Johnny Goncalves and Manny Goncalves siblings Maria Anita DosSantos, Maria Teresa Marini, Guilherme "Billy" Gomes, Jovelina Pires, Francisco Gomes, Suzy Maria Gomes, and Steven Gomes 14 nieces and nephews, 9 great-nieces and great-nephews.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 10am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Please arrive between 9:30am and 9:50am. Graveside Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5pm until 8pm.
