85, passed on September 13th with his family by his side. He was the husband of Henriette (Lemieux) Martel. Born in Central Falls he was a son of the late Arthur and Marianne (Desrosiers) Martel.
Besides his wife he is survived by five children, Denise Sennett, Michael Martel, Diane Martel, Janet Lynch and Raymond Martel, two brothers, Leo and Raymond Martel, three sisters, Madeline L. Perreira, Louise Green, and Lillian Bradley, 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late William Martel and brother of the late Arthur, Maurice and Pauline Martel, Doris Migneault, Annette Thibodeau and Rachel O'Brien.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:15am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Spirit Parish, Dexter St, Central Falls at 9:30am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4 to 6pm.
