67, May 27, 1949 - October 27, 2016. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his devoted wife Alice Petricone (Pacheco) and his daughter Tina Swanson and her husband Joshua along with their children Talia and Joshua and daughter Tammy and her husband Joshua along with their children Brady and Drew. Son of the late Domenic and Rita Petricone (DeSimone) and grandson of the late Thomas and Susie Petricone (Savastano). He is survived by his siblings Kenny, David, Gary, Michael, Rosanne, Cheryl, and Adam. He is also survived by his step-mother Beatrice Petricone. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, November 1st from 3-5pm at Keefe Funeral Home followed by a memorial service. Burial will be private.

Thomas attended Mount Pleasant High School and Rhode Island College. He worked for Quality Beef Company for the past 20+ years. Until his death he was still playing baseball with his grandchildren who call him Poppy. In his younger days he played in a baseball and bowling league for many years of which he was an exceptional player at both, especially when he played third base. He also loved to watch and attend Red Sox games which were his favorite team. Another hobby of his was completing the crossword puzzle in the Providence Journal.

Tom had first met Alice at the Columbus Bank on Charles Street, Providence where she worked. From the first day he set his eyes on her, he knew she was the one he would spend the rest of his life with. They were married October 14th, 1972. They started their family a year later with the birth of their daughter Tina and six years later their daughter Tammy was born. They just celebrated their 44th Anniversary at Capital Grille two weeks ago.

He became a grandfather in 1998 with the birth of his granddaughter Talia then Joshua, Brady and Drew. He was the envy of all their friends who wished they could have a grandfather like him who played with them all the time.

Thomas had a special relationship with Talia, his granddaughter whom he called "The Doll." Since she was born he would come over her house every day and played anything she wanted. When she was younger he would watch her favorite movie, The Wizard of Oz over and over again or play with stuffed animals. Then as she got older he taught her how to play baseball and instilled in her a love for the Red Sox. As she continued to grow up, he taught her how to play Gin and Poker. They would enjoy decadent dinners at some of the finest restaurants including Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Capital Grille, Trattoria Romana, and Pane e Vino. At almost every restaurant they would order Chicken Parmesan, their favorite meal and they would rate which one was the best. If he didn't see her a certain day he would always call her and they would talk about their day. Not a day would go by without them talking to each other. She loved him with all her heart and considers him her best friend.

Family was most important to him and he will be truly missed by us all.
