82, formerly of Fales St, passed Tuesday at St. Elizabeth’s Manor, Bristol. She was the wife of the late James W. Scofield.
Born in New Hampshire, a daughter of the late Raymond and Florence (Buckley) Hayes. She resided most of her life in Central Falls.
She had been employed by International Packaging for 20 years prior to retiring. Barbara was a longtime member of the Lincoln Congregation of Jehovah witnesses.
She is survived by three sons, James W. Scofield of Warren, David C. Scofield of Florida and Louis P. Scofield of Bristol. Two daughters, Gwen G. Brown and Amy A. DePina both of Pawtucket. 12 Grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Deborah Perez, and sister of the late William Hayes and Alice Molten both formerly of New Hampshire, and Ester Bailey formerly of Arizona.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5-8pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private in the RI Veteran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to
