72, passed peacefully on November 5th at his home with his loving wife Donna Ormonde of 45 years by his side. He was born in Terceira, Azores, and was the son of the late Joao M. Ormonde and Isaura Ormonde. He was a resident of Pawtucket for 35 years. He had been employed by North American Rubber Thread Co. of Fall River for over 30 years before retiring due to illness. He was a volunteer for the VFW Auxiliary for 15 years.
John is survived by one daughter, Michele Silva and her husband Herman; and three grandchildren, Alexandria, Cody, and Brandon Silva. He also leaves four sisters, Diana Conway, Lina Santos, Margaret Alves, and Isaura Parady; and one brother Frank Ormonde.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, November 20th from 1 - 2:30 P.M. at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:30 P.M. Please omit flowers.
