He was the cherished husband of Crystal Bettencourt for 17 years and the loving father of Marissa Newton. He was the son of the late Mary Amelia DeCosta and Frank Manuel Monteiro.
Joe was a loving brother to Mario Monteiro, Jesse Burnham, Rosa Roots, Anna Roots, Paul Monteiro and Joseph Monteiro and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, Cheryl Gonzalez, Charlene Rodriquez and Frank "Monty" Monteiro.
Joe was a person with a big heart who loved his family and friends. He had a strong love and passion for his pet dogs, who were considered his other children. He loved his Mercury Marauder but spent most of his time in recent years building his successful business. He was always there to help his family and friends.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, December 17th from 4 to 7pm in the Keefe Funeral Home,
