70, of Pawtucket, R.I., passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016. He was the son of the late Francis R. Partridge and the late Elizabeth (Mulraney) Partridge, of Pawtucket. Richard graduated from Saint Raphael Academy and Providence College. He worked for the City of Pawtucket in the Recreation Department, and was instrumental in establishing the old Jamestown ferry as a youth center and arts facility docked on the Seekonk River in the late 60s and early 70s. Richard later worked for Partners in the Americas, arranging cultural and educational exchanges between Pawtucket and the sister city of Aracaju, Sergipe, Brazil. On his return to the States, he worked at various jobs in the health field, including the Jewish Home for the Aged, and Berkshire Place. Richard is survived by his two brothers, Thomas and Russell, both of South Kingstown, R.I., and his sisters Marguerite Yarnell of St. Mary's, Georgia, Kathleen Burke of Exeter, R.I., and Maureen Marcoux of Narragansett, R.I. He was predeceased by his sister Elizabeth, and his partner Anita Marchetti. Memorial services will be private.
