passed away peacefully on December 23, 2016 at her home in Glendale, RI, surrounded by her loving family.
Jeanne was born on November 29, 1927 in Pawtucket, RI. She was the daughter of Henry and Clara (Jette) Piette. She is survived by her sister Claire Leclair and was predeceased by her brother Leo Piette. The family lived in Central Falls for many years in her Grandmother and Grandfathers home, before moving to Adamsdale, MA.
Jeanne lived in Central Falls and, as a single mother, brought up 4 children. She is survived by her 2 sons: Robert Emery of Enfield, NH and Richard Emery of Burrillville, and 2 daughters: Jeanne Matsinger of Burrillville and Connie Lapre of Smithfield. She has 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Jeanne was very active in the Church of Notre Dame, working in the rectory and managing the school cafeteria. She was Den Mother for the Boy Scouts, a Cub Scout Leader, and an active member in the Women's Club. She worked at L G Balfour's in Attleboro for 25 years.
Jeanne was a Christian and a good loving mother. She loved to dance and was very active in the community. She was always kind and generous and loved to take care her grandchildren when they needed her help.
She was an extraordinary woman. She had a life well lived and will be dearly missed by all she touched.
A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held Sunday, January 8th at 3pm at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave., Lincoln. Calling hours will be from 12 to 3pm. Family and friends are invited to join the family at Angleo's Restaurant, 133 Mendon Rd., Cumberland, R.I. afterward.
