84, passed on January 24, 2017. He was the husband of the late Carolyn (Moon) Rabbitt. Joe and his family were 42 year residents of Shawmut Ave.
After serving in the US Navy, He became a firefighter an eventually became Deputy Fire Chief for the City of Central Falls for 23 years. Joe was also the proprietor of J.R. Electrical and served as its Master Electrician for over 50 years. He and his wife were members of the Wilfrid Manor Association.
Mr. Rabbitt is survived by two sons, Joseph J. Rabbitt Jr. and his wife Darlene and Michael Rabbitt and his wife Joyce all of Cumberland, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late John Rabbitt.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, January 28th from 4 to 6pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a service at 6pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association.
