67, passed away peacefully on February 22nd. He was the husband of the late Ann Marie (Taylor) Ferreira. After high school Joseph pursued a career in automotive mechanics, subsequently opening his own garage, "Ferreira Auto" which saw many years of success.
An avid fan of English auto motives, Joseph owned many classic cars throughout his life. His other hobbies included; carpentry, sky diving, flying, racing, and amateur anthropology.
Joseph leaves behind daughters Dawn Ferreira and Tracy Onasanya; Son-in-laws, Aaron Afonso and Peter Onasanya; Grandsons, Simon and Abraham Onasanya; and brother-in-law, James Taylor, sisters, Mary J. Ferreira, Dorothy Smith, Carol Hassel, Rose Zarembra and Joan Ferreira, a brother, Albert J. Ferreira. He will be deeply missed and always loved.
Viewing to be held on Saturday, February 25th at the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, RI, from 9am until noon, with a private ceremony to follow at Swan Point Cemetery.
