87, passed on April 11, 2017. He was the husband of the late Dorothy (Partington) Provost.
Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late Lucien and Leona (Charpentier) Provost.
Raymond attended St. Matthew School, Sacred Heart Academy, and the US Army Security School. Chief Warrant Officer Raymond L. Provost retired after 22 years active service having serves in WWII, the Korean War and Vietnam conflict. Foreign service includes assignments at US Military Attaches, American Embassy in Ankara and Istanbul, Turkey, Paris, France; Helsinki, Finland; Stockholm, Sweden; and LaPaz, Bolivia. There were also assignments at various parts of the US and Germany.
He is survived by a daughter, Rae D. Renfrew and her husband William; a brother, Robert A. Provost and wife Donna; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the father of the late Suzanne L. Provost and Christine Renee Provost; grandfather of the late Dana W. Renfrew; brother of the late Norman E. Provost.
His funeral service will be held Monday, April 17th at 10am at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours will be held SATURDAY, April 15th from 3 - 6 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Rhode Island, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
