He is survived by three sisters, Maria DePina of Holland, Rita Gomes of Central Falls and Fatima Gomes of Pawtucket, three brothers, Viriato Gomes of Brava, Cape Verde, and Samuel Gomes of Pawtucket and 18 nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jose Gomes
His funeral will be held Monday at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, High St., Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Sunday 4 to 7pm.
