88, formerly of South Attleboro, passed away at home, surrounded by her family, on the evening of Saturday, December 24, 2016. She was born on June 14, 1928 to Edward and Stasia (Krysiak) Preston in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Ellie had been an office manager for Hooper Holmes Insurance of Providence, RI, retiring in 1986. She was married to Harold for 65 years. During their years in Massachusetts, Ellie and Harold enjoyed square dancing. She was also a member of the Women's Guild at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Seekonk, MA. In retirement, the Provost's lived in Zolfo Springs, FL, as well as the past 18 years in Spruce Creek South of Summerfield, FL. Ellie enjoyed playing cards, shuffle board, billiards and line dancing.
She is survived by her husband, Harold T. Provost; children, David (Cathy) Provost of Yardley PA, Carol Ann Gagne of Eliot, ME and Ann Marie (Rob) Brennan of Fishers, IN; grandchildren, Jonathan (Kristy) Gagne, Melissa (Sander) Falzone, Daniel Brennan, Noah Brennan and Stephen Brennan; great-grandchildren, Emily Gagne and Evan Falzone; and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Provost; and five brothers and sisters, Frances Kolb, Margaret Brillon, Edward Preston, William Preston and Robert Preston.
The family will hold visitation Sunday June 11th at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, from 1:30pm - 3:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church (formerly St Mary's) of Seekonk, MA., Monday June 12th at 10 am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket, R.I. following the funeral mass.
Memorial contributions may be made to North Lake Presbyterian Church, Operation Home Bound, 975 Rolling Acres Rd, Lady Lake, FL 32159; or St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, MT 59004.
