"Pesky" 76, passed April 17th, 2010.
He was husband of Catherine M. (Marrone) Calistra. They have been married for 27 years.
He had been employed by Central Beverage for several years. He then worked as Maintenance Supervisor for the State of RI, DOT for the past 33 years before retiring in 1997. John was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Besides his loving wife he is survived by a devoted son, Justin Calistra of Cranston, a sister, Virginia Carreira. He was the brother of the late Mary Carvalho, Joseph "Cal" Calistra, and Celeste "Dee" Calistra.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 6-8pm from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the charity of your choice or the St. Peter's and St. Andrew's Food Pantry, 25 Pomona Ave, Providence, RI 02908
