64, passed peacefully from this life in the early morning of June 16, 2017 after a gradual decline in health. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family and caregivers during the last days of his life. Arthur was born in Providence, RI to Arturo T. and Maria V. Abbatematteo both of whom are deceased. Arthur enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a lover of music especially when he was making it...His favorite instrument was the Drums. He was a loyal man who never had a problem expressing how he felt.
Arthur is survived by his wife, of 36 years, Lilia M. Abbatematteo. Five children: Lisa M. Abbatematteo Jones (Gregory), Erica L. Abbatematteo (Danny), Anthony T. Abbatematteo, Arturo T. Abbatematteo (Yesenia) and Ashlee M. Abbatematteo. Six Grandchildren: Jose M. Cardeno, Miguel Cardeno, Leysliam Velasquez, Jazlyn L. Velasquez, Nathan D. Perez and Aaliyah M. Abbatematteo. One Great Grandchild: Lily M. Cardeno. Arthur is also survived by four siblings: Joseph F. Abbatematteo, Maria L. Ortoleva (Joe), Frank J. Abbatematteo (Paulette) and John D. Abbatematteo (Patrick).
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 19th at 7pm at the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. Calling hours will be held from 4 - 7pm. Relatives and friends are invited.
