92, of Shawmut Ave, passed April 17th, 2010 at Grandview Nursing Center. He was the husband of Alice (LeBlanc) Papineau. They have been married for 64 years.
Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Valmore and Herminie (Paquette) Papineau. He was a lifelong resident of Central Falls.
Omer had been employed by the US Postal Service as a Letter Carrier before retiring. He was an Air Force Veteran of WWII, a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps, a member of the VFW and the Notre Dame Men’s Club.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Ronald G. Papineau of Greensboro, MD, and Paul L. Papineau of Brookings, OR, three daughters, Doris M. Sartini of Lincoln, Yvonne R. Combies of Lincoln and Jeanne C. Costa of Cumberland, 2 brothers, Brother Francis Papineau F.A. of NY, and Valmore Papineau of Florida, a sister, Sr Yvonne Papineau SSA of MA, 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Clarice Paulhus, Loretta Santos, Theresa Letourneau, Irene Gallant, Rita Morin, Alice Fernandes, Cecile Bousquet and Ralph Papineau.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St Matthew Church, Dexter St, Central Falls at 9:30am. Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours Tuesday 4-8pm. Burial with Military Honors will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
