Serafin "Nutch" Evora was born August 14, 1948 in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late Manuel J. Soares and Lena Evora Williams.
Serafin "Nutch" was educated in the Rhode Island and Chicago middle schools. He completed his education in the Job Corp. in Kentucky. Serafin held various state jobs which included president of Job Corp. for three terms, Equal Employment Opportunity Counselor. He retired from the Department of Transportation.
Nutch who was a graceful singer who formed his consulting music management company named after his grandchildren Devaughn and DeJa (Von DeJa Records). Nutch recorded his first C.D. with the help of Terrell Osborn. Along with singing Nutch had been an avid bowler and a member of a bowling team which came in first place.
Serafin "Nutch" Evora leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife, Renee Bonzola Tilson Evora of 39 years. His daughter, Ebony Bell of Bakersfield, California, his two grandchildren, Devaughn and De Ja, his sister, Donna Ashley of Connecticut. He was the brother of the late Lucy Colebut, Julia Monterio, Francis Banks, Mary Harris, Barbara Rose, Rose Bliss, Thelma McBride, Joseph Soares, Robert Soares, Freeman Soares, Satrinino Evora, Jacinto Evora; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday, July 8th at 10am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground. Relatives and friends are invited.
