89, passed on August 19th, 2017 surrounded by loving family. She was the wife of the late Pedro Cano. She loved to garden, to laugh at life, and to give of herself freely to all who befriended her. She was an inspirational wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She had a strong faith in God and believed deeply in the Holy Spirit. Carlina was a devoted mother and grandmother, cheering on soccer games and academic accomplishments of her two grandsons. Education was very important to her due to the fact that growing up she did not have the privilege of higher education.

She immigrated to the United States, specifically to Central Falls in 1966. Carlina had been employed in Colombia and in the Blackstone Valley Region as a Machinist and Weaver in the Textile Industry for over five decades before retiring.
Carlina is survived by one daughter, Anna Maria Cano-Morales of North Providence, a son in law, William Morales Sr. and two grandchildren, Cano Lucas and Moises Antonio Morales. She was also a loving step-mother to the Cano siblings: Olga Isaza, Margarita Cano, Martha Cano, Marina Alvarez, Amparo Villanueva, Alba Luz Hinestrosa, Humberto Cano, Juan Cano, Luis Cano, and Rodrigo Cano, and the late Pedro Cano, Jr., Fernando Cano and Orlando Cano. She often said that the greatest gift her husband left her was his loving family.
