90, North Smithfield, RI passed away peacefully on August 22, 2017.
He was the husband of the late Jeannette J. (Desrosiers) Corneau. Born in Central Falls he was the son of Amedee and Hortense (Fournier) Corneau. He lived most of his life in Central Falls until moving to North Smithfield in 2014. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. After his retirement he was active in the Holy Spirit Parish as an altar server. He enjoyed reading and playing cards with his family. He was a very religious and spiritual person.

He is survived by his children, Jeanne Scott and her husband Gordon, Celine Giglio, Donald Corneau, Richard Corneau and Rene Corneau and his wife Donna; his sister Jeannette Corneau; his beloved grandchildren Christopher Scott, Kate and Sarah Corneau. He was the brother of the late Theresa St. Pierre, Lucille Marquis, Yvette Fregeolle, Sr. Helen Corneau, SSA, Gertrude Dube, Sr. Rita Corneau, SP, Estelle Jarest, George Corneau and Raymond Corneau.

The funeral will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 8am from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Avenue, Lincoln, RI followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30am in the Holy Spirit Catholic Church (St. Mathieu's). Burial will be with Military Honors at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket, RI. Visiting hours Friday, August 25, 2017 from 5PM to 8PM.
