82, passed on September 17th surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of William J. Cotton. They have been married for 57 years. She was the daughter of the late Oliver and Dora (Brais) Bessette.
Eleanor was an avid bingo player, loved Foxwoods, Atlantic City and was a dedicated volunteer for Cumberland Senior Center.
She had been employed as a production supervisor for Hasbro Industries, Newport Ave, Pawtucket for 47 years. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Donna Gargano and her husband John, and Susan Cotton and her wife Terry, a granddaughter, Katelyn Gargano, a sister, Norma Rodrigues and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Doris LaFrance, Peter Bessette, Germaine Campbell, Theresa Lemire and Norman Bessette.
Her funeral will be held Friday, Sept. 22nd at 8:45am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, Pine St, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Kindred Hospice (kindredhospice.com) or the Alzheimer's Association, 245 Waterman St, Ste. 306, Providence RI 02906.
