63, passed May 9th, 2010 with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Linda (Blodgett) Gibbons; they have been married for 38 years.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late John and Elsie (Cook) Gibbons.
He had been employed by John J. Orr & Sons as a mechanic in the Port of Providence for 23 years. He then worked for Swan Point Cemetery, retiring in 2009.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Scott K. Gibbons of Central Falls and James M. Gibbons of Lincoln, a daughter, Lori A. Gibbons of Lincoln, four grandchildren, Ciara Gibbons, Jordan Gibbons, Jade King and James Gibbons Jr.
He was the father of the late John Gibbons and brother of the late Jack Gibbons.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to VNA of RI, 475 Kilvert St, Suite 400, Bldg A, Warwick, RI 02886.
