56, passed away on November 22, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loved ones, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was a resident of Pawtucket. He was the son of the late Maria Jose (Camara) Lima and Joao de Lima. He leaves behind his wife, Emilia Lima as well as his three children, Eric Lima, Cortney Lima, Joshua Lima, and granddaughter Nicolina Nardolillo-Lima. He also leaves behind his brother, John Lima.
Born in the island of Sao Miguel, Acores, Joseph immigrated to the United States when he was 18 years old. Joseph worked the last twenty seven years for Conrad Jarvis, where even with his condition, Joseph managed to go to work every day up until the very few last months. Joseph was the jack-of-all-trades man. If anything needed fixing, Joe could usually figure it out. He was known to constantly help his family, friends and everyone in his neighborhood. If he wasn't working, you could of found him working on cars in his garage that he loved or fixing a computer. He loved to spend time with his granddaughter who is 7 months old and make others laugh with his off the cuff humor. Joseph always looked to help and give his best to others; a man that would give his shirt off his back for somebody who truly needed it more than him. He will forever be loved and missed by many.
His funeral will be held Monday, November 27th at 8:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony Church, Lawn Ave., Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 5pm until 8pm.
