63, of Pawtucket, RI passed away Wednesday, December 20th, 2017 at home. Born in Santiago, Cape Verde he immigrated to the USA in 1966 with his parents and six siblings. John served fifteen years military service in the United States Air Force throughout the country and began working at National Grid in 1989 when he moved his family back to Rhode Island. He was a devoted father and grandfather to his five children and seven grandchildren.

John C. Silva is survived by his loving wife, Mary Deborah Brunelle Silva. His five children; April Silva, wife Tara Hurley, grandchildren Sidney and Maxine. Christina O'Brien, husband Kevin O'Brien Jr., grandchildren Cameron, Alyssa and Michael. Candi Bruneau, husband Kevin Bruneau and grandchild Ryan. Nicole Silva, fiance Chris Salzer and grandchild Angelina. As well as his son, John Cruz Silva.

He is also survived by his siblings; Maria Bouchard, Belinda Pina, Paul Silva and Reinaldo Silva. He was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother Jose Silva and younger sister Clarisse Gomes.
A funeral service will be held Friday, Dec 29th at 10:30am in the Bethany Church of the Nazarene, 1275 Pawtucket Ave, Rumford. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 6pm to 8pm. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Disabled Veterans Association dva.org
