79, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2018. Born in Brava, Cape Verde he was a son of the late Jose J. and Maria (Pires) Pereira. He is survived by his children, Joaquim D. Pereira, Joanna Peareara, Joseph Pereira, Katia Pereira; step-children, Alicia Lopes, Ana Almeida, George DeGraca; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and 3 sisters, Maria Mendes, the late Ana Vicente, and Angelica DeBarros. He is also uncle to nieces and nephews, the late George Burgo, Edith DeBarros, and Elizabeth DeBarros.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, January 6th at 9:30am from Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Mary Church, Pine St., Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours will be on Friday from 5 - 8pm. Relatives and friends are invited.
