81, of Cumberland RI, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Santa Cruz, Madeira, Portugal, he was the son of the late Abel Rodrigues & Rebecca Monteiro dos Santos Rodrigues. He was a polisher for Monet Jewelry Co. for many years before retiring.
He spent the majority of his free time cooking, fishing and watching his favorite soccer team Benfica. He loved life & his big smile always showed it.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Isabel Gouevia Rodrigues. He was the proud father of sons, Renato Rodrigues & his wife Maria, Paul Rodrigues & his wife Ana, Nelio Rodrigues, he adored his daughters Noelia Bravo & her husband Joe, Yolanda DaSilveira & her husband Roger. His grandchildren, Brian, Derek, Justin, Jessica, Stephanie, Robert, Caterina, Victoria, & Nathan, Great grandfather to Emma. He was loved and adored by his family and will be sadly missed.
His funeral will be held Saturday, January 13th at 10am with a service at 10:45am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4pm until 7pm.
