Xiarhos, Christoforos,66, passed away on January 14, 2018. Chris was the husband of Denise (Mansolillo) Xiarhos for 47 years. Born in Kollines, Greece, son of the late George and Vassiliki Xiarhos. His family came to Providence when he was just an infant and he has resided in North Providence for the past 41 years. He was the loving father to his daughter Bessie Carvalho and her husband Steven of Lincoln; his son Nicholas Xiarhos and his fiancee Kristen Beach of Rumford. He leaves behind his adored grandchildren Zachary, Matthew, Logan, Arya and Mason; his sisters Maria Vlahos and Constantina Dernikos; he was the brother of the late Christos Xiarhos, Anastasia LeClair, Sotirios Xiarhos and Arthur Xiarhos. A graduate of Central High School, Chris was the owner of Weiner Genie Restaurant in Lincoln. For over 40 years, Chris greeted each customer with a smile, sports talk and friendly banter. He thought of all his customers as family. He was an avid sports enthusiast, he enjoyed all the local teams and was the biggest Green Bay Packers fan. He sponsored and played on numerous softball teams, basketball leagues, golf tournaments and bowling leagues. Chris was full of life and loved to enjoy each and every moment. He loved to travel, attended numerous sporting events, loved going to the movies, plays and concerts. He was a very generous man, always trying to help others, and never asking for anything in return. During his later years, his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He was always there cheering from the stands at all their sporting and school events. A Memorial Service will be Thursday at 7:30P.M. in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, RI, Calling hours are Thursday 5 - 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Ralph J Holden Scholarship Fund 511 Mendon Road, Cumberland, RI 02864.
