He was the husband of Patricia (Conti) O'Connor.
Born in Providence, a son of the late James and Mary (Lima) O'Connor.
James served as a US Marine Sergeant for 4 years of which 29 months were in Vietnam receiving a Bronze Star, he was a member of the Post 79 Legion.
Besides his wife he is survived by four sons, Thomas, Michael and James Mallozzi and Joseph Spooner, Three daughters, Nicole and Jaaffar Clement and Jenelle Conti, two brothers, Steven and John O'Connor, a sister, Clara Perry, Ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Monday at 8:45 am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, Pine St, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial with Military Honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours will be held Sunday 5-8pm
