93, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2018 at Evergreen House Health Center. She was the loving wife of the late Mateus Moitoso. Born in Faial Azores, Portugal she was a daughter of the late Maria Rosaria Martins and late Manuel Jacinto Martins.
She is survived by her eldest son, Manuel Moitoso and his wife Alzira Moitoso; daughter, Elnora Carvalho and husband James Carvalho; youngest son, Joseph Moitoso and Sharon Moitoso; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Maria and her family moved to the United States in 1959, residing in Cumberland, RI. She was a parishioner at Our Lady of Fatima in Cumberland, enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, April 9th at 8:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Calling hours will be Sunday from 5 - 8pm. Relatives and friends are invited.
