95, formerly of Margaret St, passed peacefully on June 18th. She was the wife of the late Jose Goulart DaSilva.
Maria immigrated from Cedros, Faial, Azores, in 1967 to Pawtucket where she resided with her late son Jose Carlos Silva and her daughter-in-law, Helen.
She worked as a rug braider and was also an employee at RI Textile Mills for many years.
She was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Consolation Church.
Besides her daughter-in-law, she is survived by a sister, Zulmira Lopes of Pawtucket, three grandchildren, Diane Silva Pimentel and Jeffrey Silva both of Cumberland, Linda Pacheco of West Warwick, and five great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Mario Silva.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church, Walcott St, Pawtucket at
10am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited, Calling hours will be held Monday 5-8pm.
