89, passed on April 21st at the St. Antoine's Residence, North Smithfield, where he had been a resident since 2012.
Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late James B. and Mary Watson) Gorman. He was the brother of the late James H. Gorman, the
late Clare Gorman Ryan and his twin sister, the late Rose M. Gorman. Vin was the cousin of the late Dr. Henry Hanley, Margaret Hanley VanOrden, Ann Hanley Donelan, James Hanley and Paul Gorman.
Vincent was the grandson of the late James H. Gorman, the founder of Gorman's Bakery in Central Falls. Vin's entire work career was in the family business. He was a Member of the Bakery and Confectionery Workers International Union of America. Vin was a member of Holy Trinity Parish in Central Falls.
He is survived by his cousins James and Sheila Hagan, Dr. Joseph and Patrice Hagan and by his niece Kathleen and Dr. Eugene Brady. Vin is also survived by cousins Judge Walter Gorman, Kerry Gorman and Brian Gorman and many friends at Forand Manor in Central Falls.
Vincent's family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at St. Antoine's Residence for their compassionate care and companionship.
Please join to celebrate Vin's life at a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, May 8th at 11am at St. Antoine's Residence. There will be no calling hours.
