80, passed away peacefully on May 23rd. He was the husband of the late Doris E. (Washington) Ramos. Born in Providence he was a son of the late Teofelio A. Ramos and Benvinda (DeBritto) Alves. Antonio was a paratrooper in the US Army, a truck driver and a member of the Teamsters Local 251.
He is survived by his children, Gloria Ramos-Samonas and husband Christopher, Myles Ramos, Regina Ramos and fiance Lorenzo Dais; a grandson, Jaxson Shyne Ramos Dais; siblings, Evelyn Williamson of Florida, Rita Smith of Providence, David Alves of Lincoln, Eileen Stennis of Illinois, Arthur Alves of Providence and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Arlindo Alves Jr. and John Alves.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 26th at 2pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 25th from 5 - 8pm. Relatives and friends are invited.
