86, passed on August 7th surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Lucio Lopes. Born in Sao Nicolau, Cape Verde Island she was the daughter of the late Andre Corsino Martins and Maria Julia Lopes Martins.
Besides her husband she is survived by ten children, Maria Almeida, Natalina Lopes, Julia Neves, Corsino Lopes, Lucia Lopes-Fernandes, Jose Lopes-Martins, Edilton Lopes-Martins, Antonio Lopes, Octavio Lopes and Amilcar Lopes, three sisters Alice, Beatriz, and Lucilia Neto, two brothers, Mario Neto and Romao Martins, 27 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, August 11th at 8am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Camp St, Providence. Burial will be graveside in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will be held Friday from 6pm until 9pm.
