The Baptista, Debuc, and Afopa families are deeply saddened to announce the untimely death of their beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother, Josefina Baptista, age 89, on September 1, 2018. They are relieved that her passing was peaceful. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her son Carlos Baptista, and is survived by her nine children, Albertino Baptista, Beatriz Baptista, Eugene Debuc, Edgar Debuc, Emmanuel Debuc, Cecile Debuc, Francoise Debuc, Suzanne Afopa, and Robert Afopa, her three brothers Manuel Baptista, Isidoro Baptista and Carlos Baptista, her twenty five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday September 8, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI 02865, followed by a Mass of Catholic Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony Catholic Church, 32 Lawn Ave, Pawtucket, RI 02860. The interment will follow at North Burial Ground Cemetery, 5 Branch Avenue, Providence, RI 02904.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a wake on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Avenue, Lincoln, RI 02865 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.
