62, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 after a prolonged illness.

Born on a United States Naval base in Philladelphia, Pennsylvania he was the son of the Late Guy Earl Baker, Jr. and Philomena (Buzzerio) Baker. He leaves behind his high school sweetheart and beloved spouse of 43 years, Patricia Mary (LeHoullier) Baker. He was a loving Father to his children, Tracy Ann Baker, Kenneth Earl Baker, Jr. and wife Tammy. He was the attentive Grandfather to six grandchildren: Tyler, Taylor, Jonah, Tori, Kolby and Lilah. He also leaves behind his two sisters Patricia (Baker) Ethier, Cheryl (Baker) Dupre and their children along with many great nieces and nephews.

Following his graduation from Tolman High School in 1974, he immediately joined the Navy and honorably served his county for many years. He was a veteran of the Providence Fire Department having worked at various stations, ultimately ending his career at Engine 6 where he earned the nickname "Harley One". Prior to his illness, he was an avid bowler at East Providence Lanes, enjoyed long rides on his Harley Davidson motorcycle and organizing many charitable events for the Special Olympics.

Services will be held at Keefe Funeral Home on Higginson Ave, Lincoln, Rhode Island on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 4-7pm and internment shall be at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery in Exeter on a day and time to be announced.

God saw that he was getting tired and a cure was not to be, So he put his loving arms around him and whispered "Come with Me". With tearful eyes we watched him and saw him fade away. Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. His golden heart stopped beating and his tender hands did rest, God took him home to prove that he only takes the best. Author Unknown
