83, slipped into eternity at Rhode Island Hospital, with her loving family by her side. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Jose Moniz DaSilva and Maria Conceicao Pavao. Eliza was predeceased by her husband Jose Machado. She is survived by her two sons, Joe Machado, Emanuel Machado and his wife Marie; a sister, Conceicao Correia of Canada; a brother, Valdomiro Moniz of Canada; two grandchildren, Justin Machado and Austin Machado. She was also the sister of the late Alda DaSilva.
Eliza was an accomplished seamstress, working in New Bedford for many years. She also worked in the jewelry industry here in Rhode Island.
Friends and relatives are cordially invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, October 31st beginning at 8:30am at the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Anthony Church, 32 Lawn Avenue, Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence, RI.
