John V. Palana, 89, passed on October 30th surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Gloria (Shea) Palana for over 57 wonderful years. He was a longtime employee of Ann & Hope, Cumberland and Army Veteran (Cpl) serving during the Korean War. Father of David and wife Kim, Bethany Norris and husband John, Darryl and wife Christine, and Tracy. He was twin brother of Frank and loving "Nonno" of four grandchildren. Brother of the late Anthony and Joseph Palana and Josephine Morley.
His funeral will be held Monday, November 5th at 9:30am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence at 11am. Burial will be in Mt St Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4pm until 7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made in his name to Leukemia Society.
