60, of Lucas St, passed away peacefully July23rd at the Philip Hulitar Center. He was the husband of the late Linda (Simonelli) Durand.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Normand A. Durand Sr. and Irene
(Silva) Durand.
He had been employed by Cooley Manufacturing for many years and then by the Providence Casket Company, Lincoln. Ray had served in the US Army.
He is survived by two daughters, Tanya Durand of East Providence and Marissa Dean and her husband, Michael, of Danielson, CT, a brother, Normand A. Durand Jr. of Boston, MA, four grandchildren, Andrew Durand, Haley Corsi, Michaela and Ariana Dean. He was the brother of the late Eleanor Silvestri.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St Maria Goretti Church, Power Rd, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours will be held Monday 5-8pm.
