Claudine Deshaies, 50, passed away on December 30th, attended by her family and friends. Raised in Central Falls, Claudine was a graduate of Central Falls High School, prior to moving to North Kingstown. Claudine worked for the United States Post office, first as a carrier, and later as a mail distribution supervisor, but it was her love of travel and photography introduced her to her vast network of friends.
In addition to travel and photography, Claudine was a classic car buff, as well as food connoisseur. Once the travel bug bit, Claudine
made frequents trips to Las Vegas and California, as well as to the Pacific
Northwest, where she sought out photo opportunities and sampled the cuisine while visiting with friends.
Claudine is survived by her parents, Robert and Pauline Deshaies, and brother Eli, as well as close friends scattered across the United
States who supported and encouraged her throughout her battle with cancer, including Mila, Maria, Gwenn, Jenn, Theresa, Jeff and Roz and Jane and many, many more.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 9th at 9:30am in Holy Spirit Parish, (St. Matthew Church) Dexter St, Central Falls. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the St Mary’s Home for Children, 420 Fruit Hill Ave, North Providence, RI 02911.
