Jack Carlier: Hun, Dad, Grandpa, Big Grandpa, ...Husband, Father, Brother, Son
Jack had a tremendous life with many ups and downs, but he always took things as they came and moved through the difficulties with determination and sometimes with a necessary "push" in the right direction from his wife, Jane. He fought for his life with all he had. Yes, he left this world but not before landing a few more punches and possibly even throwing a middle finger out there.
Fighting was a large part of his life, and thankfully the part that allowed us all to have so much more time together creating memories and enjoying laughs, but there was also love. So much love.
He could make anyone laugh, and he made an impression on most of the people he met, but most of all, he made an impression on his family. He was always there to help with projects, homework, after school trips to Burger King, putting that bowl up on the high shelf, or even to drill a few "oops" holes in your ceiling while hanging something. He loved putting up his lights for EVERY holiday and taking care of his yard, but he also loved taking care of his family and being there for all of us.
Jack loved his wife, Jane, so much. They took such good care of each other, and Jane was always right by his side. He also loved his children and grandchildren and had a lifetime of love and laughs with them from letting them pet his very soft hair to rubbing his earlobes and of course using him as a jungle gym. He would do anything for any one of them.
Thanks to his strength and his will to fight, Jack had so much more time with us. Although he did leave us and we are mourning him, we are also celebrating his life and all he gave to us. So, raise your glass, preferably one filled with caramel iced coffee, to Jack. We love you always and will miss you so very much. "Love you more."
