Jeremy Michael Magnan, 32, of Lincoln passed away suddenly on April 2, 2019 after battling a severe asthma attack.
Jeremy has had a life-long battle with asthma. He's struggled through many infections, pneumonia's and constant use of medications. He learned to deal with it and still enjoy his life.
Jeremy is survived by his mom and stepfather Teri-Lynn and James Glynn, his father Richard Magnan, his brother Jason and girlfriend Alivia, his 2 precious nieces Autumn-Skye and Marceline, along with an abundance of close, loving cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Sunday, April 7th from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, because of Jeremy's asthma and allergies, we are asking for donations to the American Lung Association, Envelopes will be available at the service.



A Few Words From Mom

Jeremy was a hard-working fun loving, highly intelligent young man, passionate about everything that he believed in. He loved his family, friends, gatherings with loved ones and especially stimulating conversations. Jeremy was a problem solver as well as one of the greatest debaters ever. He was a kind, generous, loving son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle and friend. His friends tell me he was someone they knew was loyal trustworthy and someone they could count on.
You may notice that there are some lego creations around the room. This is part of Jeremy's life. He loved Legos from pre-school age. He was enamored by the more challenging ones. I remember a time when he and his friend and neighbor spent a multitude of hours out on the front porch building the millennium Falcon. We still have it today. In school, Jeremy was always in the advanced proficient class. Jeremy was extremely intelligent and "knew more than everyone else". When he was 12, he came with me to my Physical Science college class. When the professor was asking questions, Jeremy raised his hand and answered the question. (correctly I might add) - Pretty Impressive! That was the same year he came to me and said "I'm 12 now and I think you don't have to cut the crust off my sandwiches anymore."
He was fortunate enough to spend many summers on Cape Cod at the cottage with us, his grandparents and many times, our neighbors from home. He loved building sandcastles, swimming, playing on the shore and catching sand crabs.
There were many camping trips too. We would canoe, play games, cook on the campfire and enjoy our friends and family. Jeremy could always challenge the best of the best in a good game of scrabble and come out on top! We always had to have at least one 7 letter word each, or he didn't consider it a game.
He loves golfing, (clubs in trunk) shooting pool, (stick in trunk) playing cards (cribbage) and of course... gaming.
Jeremy worked as a chef in several high-end restaurants where he learned to cook by diving in and doing. He became an excellent cook and baker. He would create these amazing dishes, in mom's kitchen, leave the sink full of pots and pans, and bless his friends and co-workers with his creation. He usually left a little bit for us!
Jeremy and I shared a passion for reading from an early age. When he was younger, at bedtime, after lights out, he would often go under the blankets with his flashlight and keep on reading. That passion never left. To this day, we have a special spot on the kitchen counter where we leave books for each other that we think the other would like. Occasionally, the book I was reading would somehow disappear.
Jeremy has always been extremely neat and tidy. Some might say a little compulsive. His shoes were always in order by height! His clothes hung by color. His space neat and clean. He was famous for keeping his books in alphabetical order. As he grew older, he bought boxed sets so they came neat and organized.
These are just a few of the many memories that I will carry with me and cherish for the rest of my life. I am sure that many of you have your own memories that you will cherish forever as well. You will have an opportunity if you wish to share your stories of Jeremy during the 2:00 celebration of Jeremy's life. If you are not comfortable in front of crowds you can join us for the reception at 4:00 at J. Grays Restaurant in Cumberland.
