72, former longtime Central St resident, passed August 18, 2010. She was the wife of the late Frederick J. McGowan.
Born in Central Falls she was a daughter of the late John and Agnes (Holden) Conroy.
Margaret had been employed by the Comfort Inn of Pawtucket for many years.
She is survived by3 sons, Frederick McGowan Jr. of N.J., Shawn McGowan of North Providence and Eric McGowan of Coventry, 5 daughters, Priscilla McGowan of Virginia, Sandra Webber of North Providence, Patricia Smith of Central Falls, Nancy Souza of Central Falls and Julie Ong of Coventry, 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Valerie McGowan and grandmother of the late Jamie DuFour. Her funeral will be held Friday at 8:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Edward Church, Weeden St, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be in Mt St Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
