Eugenia Alves, 84, passed on June 20th at home with her family by her side. Born in Fogo, Cape Verde, she is survived by a daughter, Maria Alves and her husband Sergio of Pawtucket, four grandchildren, Catarina Centeio “Kathy”, Paula Silveira “Nhanha”, Maria Silveira, “Santa” and Andre Silveira, eight great-grandchildren, siblings, Raul Alves, Ana Alves "Anita", Julia Alves "Milita" and Raul Miranda. She was sister of the late Armando Barbosa Vicente.
She loved her church(catholic) and never missed a Sunday mass, loved dancing and loved the song "Talaia Baxo and xotis" She was crazy about all her family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 25th in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 291 High St, Pawtucket, RI 02860. Cemetery interment immediately following in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, 661 Prospect St, Pawtucket, RI 02860. Visitation will be held at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI 02865, Monday, June 24th from 6pm to 9pm.
Tuesday morning all services will start directly at the church.
