Idalina DeBarros, 59, passed on August 7, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Praia, Cape Verde, a daughter of Isabel Vasconcelas and the late Hermenigildo L. Tavares.

She had been employed as a Registered Nurse for many years.

Besides her mother, she is survived by two daughters, Emily A. DeBarros and Celina M. DeBarros, a long-time companion, Antonio F. Gomes, siblings, Rosa Varela, Veninha Varela, Naninha Varela, Luisa Varela, Jose Varela, Domingos Varela, Maria Tavares DaFonseca, Francisca V. Freitas, Jose M. Tavares, Carlos A. Tavaras, Maria L. Tavares, Fernando J. Tavares. She was the sister of the late Gregorio Varela, Virgilio Tavares and Candida Tavares.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 9th from 6pm until 9pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August at 10:00am in Holy Name of Jesus Church, Camp St., Providence. Burial will be at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
